You must register AND pre-pay on the Form for ALL tests. A separate FORM for each dog. The Form will include all test items – even those at no charge or you pay for separately (AKC Profiles, SLEM kits.)
FEES DO NOT INCLUDE THE OFA fee (discounted for clinics) – credit card on the OFA form.
All walk-ins (if space available) will have a $10 surcharge per dog.

We are excited to give juniors a week of experience! Attend events throughout the week to gain points on your National Specialty Junior Experience Game Board! Events listed below can be attended by any person between the ages of 5 and 18 and entry in National Specialty events are not required. Questions can be answered by texting Caleb Campbell (Juniors Chairperson for this Specialty) at 253-329-8595.

Monday, June 13th: Swing by the hospitality room at the host hotel to get your National Specialty Junior Experience Game Board. Your game board will include Juniors events that you can attend throughout the week along with a scavenger hunt guide that you can play with other juniors throughout the Specialty! The game board can be obtained from the hospitality room on other days by texting Caleb Campbell (Juniors Chairperson for this Specialty) at 253-329-8595.
Tuesday, June 14th: Attend the Intro to Scentwork Workshop just for juniors! This event will be in the evening approximately one hour following the completion of all scentwork competition. This event will count toward a prize entry at the end of the week! Further details on time will be provided once entries are closed and the official schedule is announced.
Wednesday, June 15th: Attend a Party at Dairy Queen to get to know other juniors with Border Terriers! Enjoy a DQ Blizzard free of charge (free for participants under the age of 18 only) for a time to socialize! This event will be held at approximately 5:00 pm at Dairy Queen next to the host hotel but is subject to change. This event will count toward a prize entry at the end of the week! Further details on time will be provided once entries are closed and the official schedule is announced.
Thursday, June 16th: Attend a Junior Showmanship Workshop and Pizza Party! This workshop will be hosted by Caleb Campbell who is an AKC Junior Showmanship Judge and former Border Terrier Junior Handler. Keep an eye out for special guests who will help you fine tune your skills as a Junior handler! This event will begin approximately one hour following the completion of all conformation judging on Thursday, June 16th. This event will count toward a prize entry at the end of the week! Further details on time will be provided once entries are closed and the official schedule is announced.
Friday, June 17th: Good luck to those competing in Junior Showmanship competition! Pre-entries are required for Junior Showmanship Competition and details will be listed in the official event premium list and judging program. Turn in your National Specialty Junior Experience Game Board to Caleb Campbell following the completion of Junior Showmanship judging. Celebrate your fellow juniors by buying tickets to the BTCA Awards Banquet on Friday evening where we will have a table just for juniors and their families! Reserve your meal for the banquet by May 13 through the National Specialty website. Prizes earned through your National Specialty Junior Experience Game Board will be awarded at the juniors only table during the Awards Banquet!
Don't forget to wear your Roaring 20's costume as there is a contest with prizes!!

Attention Juniors
An exciting new $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to the student who is judged Best Junior Handler at the 2022 BTCA National Specialty in June. The Junior Handler or his/her family must be a member in good standing of the BTCA or an affiliate/ regional club at the time of the National Specialty. The BTCA Health and Scholarship Foundation will reserve the funds until the student is accepted at an accredited junior, community, or 4 year college. The Scholarship must be used within 2 years from the date of his or her secondary school graduation.
